Mr Ghibu - formerly a financial analyst with CA~IB Securities, was involved in the equity capital market advisory, corporate stocks assessment, business plans, privatization negotiations as well as underwriting operations.
At Central European Financial Services (CEFS) since 2002, he continued the line of advisory and investment banking business, being engaged during 2003-2004 in the privatization of some important state-owned enterprises where a wide range of advisory services were rendered (due diligence, preliminary inquiries, strategy devising, drafting share sale agreements etc.) while in 2005 rendered some of the complex advice work for in the successful acquisition of BCR the largest Romanian bank.
Member in the Board and Investment Committee of FREE (Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund) since 2003 - managing USD 10 mil from GEF through the WB for Energy Efficiency projects in Romania. Chairman of the board at ECDL ROMANIA SA and member of the board at NORD SA, listed on BSE (AeRO - section) since 2010.
In 2011 elected as independent Board member of SIF Oltenia SA and re-elected for a 4 year mandate in April 2013.
